For the fourth time, the Polish Business Congress has responded to the challenges posed by the dynamically changing economic situation in Poland and in Europe. This year’s discussions referred to a large extent to the example of Eastern Poland, but in our opinion, these are issues relevant to all regions. In accordance with the slogan of the congress: “Business – science – local government”, we put special emphasis on the cooperation of these three sectors, paying attention to their representatives being able to exchange experiences and insights to break down barriers to cooperation, but also to indicate positive examples showing that joint actions are possible and can be beneficial for each party.
The fourth edition of the congress took place on October 27-28 at the Lublin Conference Center. The main partners of the event were: the Marshal’s Office of the Lubelskie Voivodeship, the City of Lublin Office and the University of Economics and Innovation in Lublin.
It is worth adding that the fourth edition of the congress attracted over 1,200 people representing many fields of Polish science, business and local government. The participants of the congress were mainly decision-makers, in the person of rectors, presidents of the board, directors or presidents. Among the topics discussed during the 25 discussion panels were issues related to, among other things, ways to develop the Polish economy, innovation, marketing, medicine, energy, synergy of science and business, mining, EU funding in the 2014-2020 perspective, or effective use of economic potential Polish local governments.
